What is Bubble Art?
nAo OKAMOTO’s original technique.
Surface Tension and Drying Shrinkage of Acrylic Paints.
It creates bubble-like circles on the canvas.
Acrylic paint is applied to the canvas, and as it dries over time from the outer edges inward,
bubbles form through the effects of flowing water or wiping.
The characteristic of the drawing is that it can create a sense of three-dimensionality.
This allows the expression to change dramatically depending on how light hits it,
creating a wide range of forms regardless of whether they are abstract or concrete.
My current location is “here and now.”
The future that lies ahead is yet unseen.
But still, We try to know—.
Through “Bubble Art,” we hope you will experience a glimpse of this world in this exhibition.
