MU GALLERY is pleased to present “INTERPLAY” by EMU 7/5(sat) to 7/20(sun).
EMU
After working as a graphic designer, he began working as a wood carving artist in 2016.
He reuses some of the wood from shipyards that would otherwise be thrown away for his works.
He creates unique wood carvings and paintings focusing on the relationship between pure form and space.
He has exhibited his work in Japan and abroad.
He is also involved in numerous collaborations with NIKE, Converse, Pokémon, and others.

【Statement】
Line and surface, shape and color, space and margin
The basic elements that make up vision begin to relate to one another.
This exhibition is an attempt to focus on the interplay between such elements.
Relationships such as position and balance, tension and misalignment, do not have fixed meanings, but appear as “states” that keep changing.
Appreciation is also built into that relationship.
Meaning is not given, but occurs by seeing.
I hope you will enjoy feeling the moment of its beginning.
